Champion Triathlete chooses WeeRide bike seat
|
Loretta
Harrop, former World Champion and Olympic medal winner triathlete,
loves riding with her child in the new WeeRide, a centre mounted
child bike seat now available in Australia.
If
you have used a rear mounted baby bike seat in the past you will know
how frustrating it can be when you can’t see what your child is
doing. Perhaps they have decided to throw a shoe off, or the helmet
is covering their eyes or they may have fallen asleep – it’s
very hard to look after them when they are behind you and you are
trying to keep your eye on the road. The new WeeRide centre-mounted
child bike seat allows you to watch your child and the road at the
same time.

The
WeeRide is fabulous. Not only does it feel safer to have my arms
around my son Hayden, but I can talk to him as we ride and teach him
about everything we see,” said Loretta. “He gets to see
what I see rather than a great view of my back.”
“Safety
is very important to me when I’m riding with my child,”
said Harrop, “and the WeeRide feels very safe to me. Both
Hayden and I love it. I also love the fact that I’m not going
to get half way through our ride and find that Hayden has ditched a
shoe along the way. I can watch him at all times.”
A recent study
by Research Now found that seven out of ten parents would prefer a
front-mounted bicycle child carrier than a traditional rear-mounted
one. The WeeRide will allow you to feel your child is safe while you
enjoy the significant health, transport and environmental benefits
of cycling.
