"It is almost the weekend - time to get out and about with the kids.

For some, having children means putting sporting pursuits on hold, but Sunrise presenter James Coleman set out to find a way of taking his two and a half-year-old mountain biking with him."

World Champion Triathlete chooses WeeRide bike seat

Loretta Harrop, former World Champion and Olympic medal winner triathlete, loves riding with her child in the new WeeRide, a centre mounted child bike seat now available in Australia.

If you have used a rear mounted baby bike seat in the past you will know how frustrating it can be when you can’t see what your child is doing. Perhaps they have decided to throw a shoe off, or the helmet is covering their eyes or they may have fallen asleep – it’s very hard to look after them when they are behind you and you are trying to keep your eye on the road. The new WeeRide centre-mounted child bike seat allows you to watch your child and the road at the same time.

The WeeRide is fabulous. Not only does it feel safer to have my arms around my son Hayden, but I can talk to him as we ride and teach him about everything we see,” said Loretta. “He gets to see what I see rather than a great view of my back.”

Safety is very important to me when I’m riding with my child,” said Harrop, “and the WeeRide feels very safe to me. Both Hayden and I love it. I also love the fact that I’m not going to get half way through our ride and find that Hayden has ditched a shoe along the way. I can watch him at all times.”

A recent study by Research Now found that seven out of ten parents would prefer a front-mounted bicycle child carrier than a traditional rear-mounted one. The WeeRide will allow you to feel your child is safe while you enjoy the significant health, transport and environmental benefits of cycling.

Revolutionary Bicycle Child Carrier Could Double Child/Parent Cycling;

Improving Health, Transport & Bonding

Melbourne, Australia  17th Oct 2007 - Almost half of all parents miss out on the significant health, transport and bonding benefits that cycling with their young children encourages by refusing to buy a traditional rear-mounted bicycle child carrier because of safety concerns.

The good news is that help is on hand in the shape of the a revolutionary, front-facing Canadian bicycle child carrier. "3/4s of parents would prefer to use a front-mounted bicycle child carrier than a traditional rear-mounted one" says Brad Wilson of respected internet market research company Research Now (http://www.researchnow.com.au/).

Significantly almost all the respondents who wouldn't buy a rear-mounted seat agreed that they would buy a front-mounted one representing a huge opportunity to the Australian importers of the multi-award winning seat - known as the WeeRide (www.weeride.com.au) and a challenge to educate parents about the multi award-winning, front-facing seat.

"We offer a superior product with the WeeRide" stated James Sladden of MyWeeRide, "Parents agree that having your child in front of you as you ride offers both parent and child significant advantages that include; increased communication, attention to needs, and a much more interesting view for the child'"
